Our respect for food is one of the core values that guides us at every stage of our business. From preventing food waste to implementing sustainable supply chain practices, we act responsibly across many areas and prioritize valuing food in the way it deserves.

Food Safety And Quality

At TAB Gıda, we do not only offer great taste; we also undertake the responsibility of ensuring that every bite is consumed safely. We place food safety at the center of our business and see quality as the compass that carries this understanding into the future. The systems we have developed since the day we were founded have enabled us to earn the trust not only of our customers, but also of our business partners and the industry.

For us, food safety is a continuous journey extending from farm to table. Therefore, we evaluate our suppliers not merely as companies providing products, but as business partners that embrace a culture of food safety. Compliance with GFSI-recognized standards is not a preference for us, but an indispensable requirement. This culture of transparency and auditing is clearly reflected in every product we offer.

Our expert quality team builds relationships with suppliers that are not only supervisory but also developmental, supporting continuous improvement through training and guidance. Our restaurant employees are not only implementers of this system, but also its ambassadors. The understanding of hygiene, auditing, and continuous improvement has become an institutional reflex across all our field operations.

Our food safety system is regularly tested through third-party audits, product analyses, and emergency response scenarios. Product freshness and safety are carefully monitored from farm to fork through our internationally certified logistics centers and online temperature monitoring systems.

All critical inputs are controlled with high precision; in the event of risk detection, the relevant products are rapidly withdrawn from use, and consumer health is always prioritized. From pest control to sanitation plans, from NSF-certified equipment to a GFSI-recognized supply chain, every detail forms part of our holistic food safety approach.

Because we see food safety not only as a technical responsibility, but also as one of the most important pillars of responsible food leadership. “Know What You Eat” Platform

At TAB Gıda, we value enabling our consumers to make informed choices. In this regard, the “Know What You Eat” platform, which we launched to transparently share the contents of our products and support confident consumer choices, was renewed in 2024 with a more user-friendly structure. On the platform, where product contents of our Burger King, Popeyes, Arby’s, Subway, Sbarro, Usta Dönerci, and Usta Pideci brands can be easily accessed, digital accessibility has been strengthened through an advanced search engine, categorized content, and a user feedback system.

The platform provides not only product information, but also comprehensive information on topics such as food safety, supply chain management, and quality standards. All our products are prepared in compliance with the Turkish Food Codex and international quality standards. Meat products are sourced from BRCGS-certified and halal-certified suppliers. We also operate with high sensitivity in cold chain management and logistics processes. As a reflection of our transparency principle, the “Know What You Eat” platform not only provides information, but is also supported by communication campaigns highlighting the naturalness and authenticity of our products.

The Plant-Based Whopper®, developed for consumers preferring plant-based nutrition, is one of the strongest examples where this vision meets flavor.

At TAB Gıda, we derive our strength not from our size, but from the way we do business. Through vertical integration, we meticulously manage every stage of our supply chain, placing efficiency, commitment, and sustainability at the center of our operations. In doing so, we make both our processes and our entire ecosystem resilient, flexible, and future-ready.

From raw material sourcing to logistics, production, and quality control, we prioritize reliability and continuous improvement at every stage. By carefully selecting our resources, we reduce external dependency, minimize risks, and make sustainability an operational standard. We source all our materials from traceable and reliable facilities and sustain quality and efficiency through strong business partnerships.

Through our group companies, we control raw materials and work with products and suppliers certified under internationally recognized standards and initiatives such as GFSI, ISO 34700 Animal Welfare Management System, ISO 50001 Energy Management System, ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), and Rainforest Alliance. Through innovative practices in energy, water, and waste management, we carry out future-conscious production while placing quality and sustainability at the core of our business.

By establishing not only commercial but also value-driven collaborations with our suppliers, we place Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria at the center of our approach and transform together for a more livable world. We measure, support, and improve the ESG performance of our critical suppliers through our dedicated management systems. Through a transparent, reliable, and environmentally responsible supply chain, we inspire the industry and move confidently toward the future.

Animal Welfare

Sürdürülebilirlik gezegen hayvan refahı We consider animal welfare as one of the fundamental elements of our supply chain and develop ethical and transparent production practices together with our business partners. While responding to increasing consumer awareness, we also contribute to the broader dissemination of this awareness.

In line with our sustainable supply chain strategy, we source red meat products from suppliers that comply with animal welfare standards and hold ISO 34700 certification. This approach strengthens both product safety and the trust we establish with society.

In the coming period, we aim to expand animal welfare principles more broadly throughout our supply chain and increase transparency. While emphasizing the importance of certifications, we continuously maintain our ethical and quality standards through holistic control mechanisms.

Sustainable Agricultural Practices

At TAB Gıda, with the principle of “respect for nature, commitment to the future,” we place sustainable agriculture at the center of our production approach. Through production models that protect soil, use water resources efficiently, preserve biodiversity, and prioritize human health, we are building a future in harmony with nature.

In the products we serve in our restaurants, we prioritize not only quality but also respect for nature. For essential food products such as meat, chicken, vegetables, and bread, we adopt a sourcing approach based on high food safety standards and sustainable resources. We require our suppliers to hold internationally recognized certifications and support those that have not yet completed the process through auditing and guidance.

In vegetable sourcing, we protect soil, water, and the environment through certified and traceable methods such as Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). Working with GAP-certified producers for key products such as tomatoes, lettuce, and onions is one of the cornerstones of our sustainability approach. Our potato sourcing is managed through our group company, which has achieved “Gold” level in the sustainable agriculture management system and promotes a culture of sustainable agriculture by providing training to farmers. In frying oils, we prefer RSPO Mass Balance-certified products, contributing to the prevention of deforestation and the protection of natural habitats.

This comprehensive approach provides not only environmental protection, but also economic, social, and ethical benefits. While increasing efficiency and reducing costs, it strengthens product quality and market access, and by protecting natural resources, we contribute to food security and rural development.
